Taste of the Nation Utah is Aug 7, from noon-4 p.m. at Solitude Mountain Resort. The fundraiser supports Share Our Strength, a group dedicated to ending childhood hunger.
More than 40 top Utah chefs and restaurants will be there giving out samples of their signature cuisine, to the background of live music and the beautiful mountains. A dessert booth offers a huge choice of sweets concocted by more than 15 Utah pastry chefs.
You can also bid on getaways, dining experiences, art and jewelry in both silent and live auctions. General admission tickets are $75 each, if purchased in advance; $90 at the door. To buy tickets, go to http://www.strength.org/utah/
